REAL ESTATE ACREAGE

Real estate acreage is shown below for 1971, 1981, 1991, 2000. Off-campus acreage constitutes the largest single category, 5,043 acres as of June 30, 2000, and includes: the Goethe Link Observatory in Morgan County; a biological research station on Crooked Lake; the Geologic Field Station at Butte, Montana; Camp Brosius at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin; Bradford Woods near Martinsville; the Lilly-Dickey tract near Nashville; holdings in Iowa, Kentucky, and Texas; as well as acreage near Lake Monroe and throughout the State of Indiana.
