COMPARISON OF ROOM AND BOARD RATES FOR MAIN CAMPUSES OF TEN INSTITUTIONS
Academic year room and board rates
for the most prevalent double room accommodations on the main campuses of the public Big Ten
institutions appear in the table below. For the 2000-01 academic year, Indiana University's
new student rate ranks third out of ten campuses. The new student room and board rate of $5,679
is $285 less than the highest rate of $5,964 at Ohio State University and is $1,207 more than the
lowest rate of $4,472 at Michigan State University.
