STATE APPROPRIATION PER FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENT
State appropriation divided by the number of full-time equivalent student
indicates how public support of the instructional mission varies over time. That indicator
is adjusted for changes in the value of the dollar as measured by the Consumer Price
Index.
For 2000-2001, appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $6,123 for the
Bloomington campus, a decrease of 3.6 percent from $6,354 in 1999-2000 in
2000-2001 dollars.
For the IUPUI campus, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student for
the Health Division is $32,128, up 1.9 percent from the support level of $31,530 in
1999-2000. For the General Academic Division, it is $6,335, down .7 percent from
$6,381 in 1999-2000.
For the regional campuses, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student
is $5,906, an increase of .4 percent from $5,930 in 1999-2000. The appropriation
per full-time equivalent student for Purdue University at Fort Wayne are included with the
regional campuses of Indiana University.
