STATE OF INDIANA APPROPRIATIONS
The total appropriation by the State of Indiana for all campuses of Indiana
University for 2001-02 was $535,121,348. The total for Bloomington was $205,063,576 (41 percent),
IUPUI, $201,485,452 (40 percent); and the regional campuses, $93,385,981 (19 percent). In addition,
$15,919,391 was appropriated for the following special purposes: the Indiana Higher Education
Telecommunication System (for which Indiana University is the fiscal agent), the Indiana Institute on
Disabilities and Community, the Chemical Test program, the Optometry Education Fund, the Indiana Geological Survey,
the Industrial Research Liaison Program, Abilene Network Operations Center, Spinal Cord and Head
Injury Research Center, IU Division of Labor Studies, and the Local Government Advisory Commission.
