STATE APPROPRIATION PER FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENT
State appropriation divided by the number of full-time equivalent student indicates how public support of the instructional mission varies over time. That indicator is adjusted for changes in the value of the dollar as measured by the Consumer Price Index.
For 2001-02, appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $5,931 for the Bloomington campus, a decrease of 6.1 percent from $6,319 in 2000-01 in 2001-02 dollars.
For the IUPUI campus, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student for the Health Division is $33,005, up 2.7 percent real from 2000-01. For the General Academic Division, it is $6,135, down 6.1 percent from $6,537 in 2000-01.
For the regional campuses, adjusted state appropriation per full-time equivalent student is $6,948 a increase of 14 percent from $6,095 in 2000-01. The appropriation per full-time equivalent student for Purdue University at Fort Wayne is included with the regional campuses of Indiana University.
