COMPARISON OF INSTRUCTIONAL FEES FOR MAIN CAMPUSES OF BIG TEN INSTITUTIONS

     Full-time academic-year instructional fee rates for 2003-04 for Indiana University Bloomington and the main campuses of the other Big Ten
institutions appear in the table below.  Northwestern, a private institution, is excluded because its fees are not comparable to those of the public
institutions.
     Indiana University Bloomington's resident undergraduate fee rate of $5,756 ranks sixth, and is $3,540 less than the highest rate $9,296 at Penn
State University, but only $1,414 higher than the lowest rate $4,342 at the University of Iowa.

on averages of lower and upper division fees;  All other institutions are based on an academic year of 30 hours for  undergraduate and 24 hours for graduate.
*  New student rate; returning students will be assessed their returning rate which is $1,000 less for the Bloomington campus.
