COMPARISON OF INSTRUCTIONAL FEES FOR REGIONAL CAMPUSES OF BIG TEN INSTITUTIONS

As shown below, the resident undergraduate rate of $4,118 for four of Indiana University's regional campuses -- East, Kokomo,
Northwest, and Southeast -- ranks 12th out of 15 in a comparison of academic-year full-time instructional fee rates among the regional
campuses of the Big Ten institutions.  The rate of $4,118 is $5,041 less than the highest rate of $9,159 at the Altoona campus of
Penn State University and is $668 more than the lowest rate of $3,450 at the University of Illinois Springfield campus.
For the East, Kokomo, and Southeast campuses, the resident graduate rate of $3,779 ranks 12th out of 14; it is $6,231 less than the
highest rate, $10,010 at the Altoona campus of Penn State University, and it is only $671 more than the lowest rate, $3,108 at the
University of Illinois Springfield campus.
In 1993-94, the Trustees approved a separate fee structure for the South Bend campus.  Its resident undergraduate fee rate ranks 10th
out of 15,  two positions higher than the rank of other IU regional campuses.  South Bend's nonresident undergraduate rate also ranks two
positions higher than the corresponding rates on the other IU regional campuses.  Its nonresident graduate fee rate ranks higher as well.
