ACADEMIC PROGRAMS And SCHOOLS OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY

Indiana University divides the year into two academic semesters and a summer term with sessions of varying length by campus. The University offers courses in the arts, humanities, social, behavioral, and physical sciences, and professional fields. Additional programs include military science, professional practice, continuing education, and special summer session programs. The major areas and fields of study offered at IU's campuses are organized into specific schools.

The Purdue University Schools of Engineering and Technology and of Science at Indianapolis include academic programs that are the responsibility of Purdue University. At Fort Wayne, academic responsibility has been assigned to either Indiana or Purdue, primarily at the departmental level.
